Learning to swim is a fantastic experience and our swimming lessons are designed to help children & adults of all ages learn the essential skills they need to stay safe in the water.
Our experienced instructors will teach floating, treading water, swimming freestyle, backstroke, and important water safety skills (such as how to rescue themselves if they get into trouble).
We offer 10 stages of Swimming Lessons for children aged from just 6 months old at all 3 of our pools. We also have adult and baby / child, adult only and ladies only swimming lessons.
We follow Swim England’s Learn to Swim framework and swimming lessons progress is recorded and updated through your Home Portal where you can track your child’s progress and manage your Swim Lessons.

1-2-1 Swimming Lessons
The perfect way to build your confidence and make real progress in the water. With a friendly, dedicated & experienced instructor by your side, each lesson is tailored to your needs – whether you’re just starting out, want to improve your technique or simply feel more comfortable learning at your own pace we create a supportive, relaxed environment for you to learn in.

Stage 1

Stage 2
Including play time in the water and learning skills such as moving around, submerging, floating and using arms to travel through the water.

Stage 3
Swimmers will develop safe entries into the water including submersion and travel up to 10 metres on their front and back. Water safety knowledge and rotation skills will also be progressed.

Stage 4
Building competence in the basic elements of propulsion, using the main swimming strokes with a continuing emphasis on the importance of good streamlining and breathing control. This is accompanied by the introduction of a range of aquatic skills such as sculling, treading water and swimming underwater.

Stage 5
Perfecting aquatic skills along with controlled breathing, using correct basic techniques on three of the main strokes and on short distances of Butterfly. In addition, turns and essential safe foundation practises for diving are introduced.

Stage 6
Developing greater awareness and expertise in personal water safety and survival swimming. Also it works on the continual improvement of strokes and more efficient swimming.

Stage 7
Further development of the main swimming strokes, this category acts as an introduction to the early stages of training in competitive swimming; providing a basis for swimming as part of a healthy lifestyle. The development of both basic aerobic swimming endurance and of swimming speed are integrated within the programme.
